Car measures air quality
The University of Utrecht is doing research on air quality. We are cooperating in this, so they are going to measure the air quality in Son en Breugel. They are going to do this with a so-called measuring car with modern laboratory-quality measuring equipment.
This car will measure pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide, soot, particulate matter and ultrafine dust while driving about 6 to 8 hours a day, every second. Over the past five years, the university has been Map the air quality in some 10 European cities. Now they also do the measurements in Dutch municipalities.
You can see the measuring car driving around for the next 6 weeks. Outside air is drawn in from the front of the roof and distributed to the various measuring instruments.
